My New Friend, Mrs. Cherry!

Welcome to “New Friend Friday!” Every other Friday, I’ll introduce you to someone new! It could be anyone from another blogger to a local business owner. I’ve gotten to meet some really great people lately, and I want to share them with you!

So, I missed last Friday. I know, I know, you were all anxiously awaiting my introduction of someone new, but no worries, I’ll be back on schedule next week. I’ve been the world’s laziest blogger these past couple weeks.

This week’s new friend has been posting some of the funniest letter board pregnancy updates on Instagram lately! She is about 35 weeks pregnant right now, so pretty soon we’ll start seeing updates of the newest little Cherry! Hopefully with more funny letter boards.

See? I love her.

She also shared a Brazilian Lemonade recipe recently that I will definitely have to try. . .

Without further adieu, here is the next person you need to go follow!

I am a mom, wife, and former Meeting and Event Planning professional who worked in the higher education and business industry. Here on Life of a Cherry Wife, I love to chat about anything that peaks my interest! My topics can range from family life, motherhood, food, DIY, home decor, fashion and new products I have found. Pretty much everything from A-Z. I built Life of a Cherry Wife because I noticed that since becoming a mother, I have been looking up so many articles on different aspects of my new journey, that I wanted a space for myself and my readers to enjoy. I love to joke around and have a sense of humor with life, which sometimes can be found in my writing. Writing has become my way to connect with other mothers and a chance to express my thoughts and feelings about different aspects of motherhood, marriage, family life and life in general. I hope you enjoy reading my little corner of internet space!

1. I love reading your posts- always so real and authentic, plus some delicious recipes! What inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging after realizing that I was researching different areas of motherhood and family life and I really wanted to just write about my own new journey. My first article was 10 Things I Wish I Knew While Pregnant because no matter how much people told me about pregnancy, there was a lot that they left out! I wanted to write about my experience and share it with the world. After I did that, I simply have not stopped writing!
2. Staying at home with a little one can be very draining. What do you like to do to recharge?
Luckily, I have an amazing husband who understands this. During the work week after dinner, he takes our son and lets me do whatever I want! Whether it is painting my nails, a soak in the tub, or even going out with my girlfriends once a week for some girl time, he totally allows me to have “me time”. He also takes the lead on the weekends and will make morning breakfasts so I can sleep in, take our son outside to play, and just simply lets me take a break. I am so grateful for that chunk of time.
3. What is your favorite cheesy movie and why should I watch it ASAP?
This is a great question, but honestly I don’t watch movies and tv much! Lol, I live under a rock when it comes to that. I do like A Christmas Story during the holidays and I am a sucker for watching stand up comedy on the weekends. It is usually whatever is featured on Netflix.
4. How do you hope people describe you?
Hmm…well, I have been told that I am hard working, spontaneous, funny and a go-getter. I would hope they describe me as a good person, great mother, wonderful wife and amazing friend.
5. What is the best piece (or pieces) of advice you have gotten as a mother?
Everyone has an opinion on motherhood and how you should raise your children. Take it all with a grain of salt and always listen to your gut feelings first.
6. Which blog post of yours is your favorite? Why is that?
I am very partial to 10 Things I Wish I Knew While Pregnant because the desire to write that it is what started my blogging journey. It is an open, honest, descriptive and at times funny piece of writing.
7. What is your comfort food? Or foods? In other words, what food are you about to make me crave?
Oh gosh, I am a sucker for A LOT of foods! If I had to do a top 5 it would be sushi, steak, chocolate cake, ice cream and fresh baked bread.
8. And finally, in the spirit of my blog name, what do you “Just wanna finish?”
I just want to finish being pregnant, haha! I am currently 6 months pregnant with our second and I would like to just have a nice glass of wine again! 😉
(Mrs. Cherry filled this out for me a few months ago and is now 35 weeks pregnant, so I’m sure she’s even MORE ready for that glass of wine now!)
