I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Back in February, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I selected a book about marriage. I’m still working through it, though, because the children let me read about one page at a time. So far, I’ve really enjoyed it! The author is a great storyteller. She seems to have a flair for the dramatic, which makes for some entertaining stories.
The book centers around her first year of marriage. She and her husband (both journalists) travel around the world to discover how marriage works in various cultures. They learn a lot of great lessons. The writing style makes it seem like one long editorial piece in a magazine versus a book with chapters and plot points. It’s an easy book to pick up and jump right back into whenever you get a minute.
Normally, I’d wait until I finished a book to post my review, but the company that sent me the book is closing and I need to get a review in ASAP 🙂 I’ve really enjoyed the portion of the book that I’ve read so far and am looking forward to the rest.
